I’m fresh off a call with my agent and we have a solid plan to get get my non-fiction book proposal shopped to publishers soon. I’ll give Patron’s a sneak peek of some proposal content later this month.
Random facts about selling non-fiction books to publishers:
Publishing season coincides with the school year, so spring & fall are good times to sell stuff.
For non-fiction books you write a proposal which includes how long you think it will take you write the book. Once the book is sold and contract signed, you then write the manuscript. I guessed it will take me 1 year to write the book. (This is different than novels, where you write the whole book & then try to go sell it.)
About half of the proposal is sample chapters & content intended for the book. The rest of it includes my qualifications, comparative book titles, a marketing plan, chapter synopsis, and more. This proposal is 20k words or roughly 80 pages.

I’ve been feeling a big energy shift coming for a while now.
Those of you in the coaching tier and subscribers to the tarot posts know all about it. It feels kind of like sitting on a rocket ship waiting for it to take off. At the beginning of the summer that scared me, but with everything I’ve been learning now I’m just excited.
